School Psychologist - West Hartford, Connecticut

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Connecticut certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist
• Experience conducting formal psychological and educational assessments
• Strong skills in data-driven intervention planning and implementation
• Ability to offer counseling and behavior management strategies to students
• Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations for referred students
• Develop individualized intervention and behavior plans based on assessment results
• Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding students’ academic and emotional needs
• Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings, providing expert input and recommendations
• Deliver short-term counseling and crisis intervention as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Promote mental health awareness within the school community
