Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Connecticut certification or eligibility as a School Psychologist
- Experience conducting formal psychological and educational assessments
- Strong skills in data-driven intervention planning and implementation
- Ability to offer counseling and behavior management strategies to students
- Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations for referred students
- Develop individualized intervention and behavior plans based on assessment results
- Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators regarding students’ academic and emotional needs
- Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings, providing expert input and recommendations
- Deliver short-term counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Promote mental health awareness within the school community
