Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification required
- School Social Worker certificate preferred
- Previous experience working within elementary school settings
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and report writing
- Solid understanding of developmental, emotional, and behavioral challenges in children
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological assessments, interventions, and support for approximately 25-30 students, with an additional counseling caseload of about 15 cases
- Collaborate with school staff to create individualized education plans and interventions
- Offer direct counseling services to students, supporting their emotional well-being and academic success
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding best practices for student support
- Participate actively in team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations
- Keep accurate records and documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all dealings with students and families
This contract position runs from September 2nd to January 1st, with work hours scheduled from 8:30 am to 3:45 pm, following the school calendar.
