Provide critical support to students by assessing their needs and promoting a positive school environment as a School Psychologist in a contract position near Westby, WI. Your expertise will help empower students, collaborate with educators, and engage families to promote academic and emotional success.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified as a School Psychologist according to state requirements
- Previous experience working within K-12 school environments is highly desirable
- Strong skills in conducting assessments, evaluations, and interpreting results
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with staff, students, and families
- Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to special education and Section 504
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological and educational assessments to inform decision-making for student programs and services
- Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to students’ needs
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing expertise and recommendations
- Offer consultation and support to teachers and counselors in classroom and behavioral management
- Engage with families to share insights, strategies, and progress regarding student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all federal and state regulations
