School Psychologist in Westland, MI

Qualifications:

• Active, valid Michigan School Psychologist license (must be included upon submission)
• Master’s degree in School Psychology from an accredited college or university
• Demonstrated school-based experience preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families
• Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
• Commitment to supporting the social, emotional, and academic growth of elementary-aged students

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to guide instructional and behavioral interventions
• Provide direct counseling and mental health support to individual students and small groups
• Develop interventions and monitor progress for students identified with learning or behavioral challenges
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and collaboration with staff and families
• Consult with teachers and administrators to design and implement effective support strategies
• Support crisis response and prevention efforts within the school community
