School Psychologist | Wheatfield, Indiana

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
• Strong background in administering psychological and educational assessments
• Experience creating and implementing IEPs and 504 plans
• Ability to interpret data and effectively communicate findings to staff and families
• Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with current best practices in student mental health, behavioral interventions, and crisis response
• Previous experience in K-12 educational settings is preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students referred for academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns
• Consult with teachers, staff, and parents/guardians to develop individualized strategies supporting student success
• Participate in the creation and monitoring of IEPs and behavior intervention plans
• Deliver direct and indirect counseling or intervention services as needed
• Serve as a resource on multi-disciplinary teams, contributing psychological expertise to school-wide initiatives
• Promote and help implement preventive programs and support positive school climate
• Maintain thorough documentation and uphold confidentiality at all times
