Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a closely related field
  • State-issued School Psychologist certification (or eligibility)
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments to identify learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education and intervention plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to eligibility and placement decisions
  • Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support positive student outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Serve as an advocate for students’ mental health and educational success
