A middle school in Whitman, MA, seeks a School Psychologist for a maternity leave contract from February 2nd to May 15th. This full-time or part-time opportunity involves supporting students in grades 5-8, primarily conducting initial evaluations and re-evaluations. The role operates within a structured bell schedule from 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial psychological assessments and re-evaluations for middle school students.
- Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using the Frontline platform.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support student learning and well-being.
- Communicate assessment results effectively with teachers, administrators, and families.
- Utilize available district resources and guidelines to enhance service delivery.
- Support the principal and assistant principal in addressing student needs and behavioral interventions.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with middle school-aged students (grades 5-8).
- Familiarity with conducting psychological evaluations and writing comprehensive reports.
- Proficiency in using IEP software systems, preferably Frontline.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration within the school community.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a broader district team.
