School Psychologist - Williamsburg, VA

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid Virginia state School Psychologist license
• Experience working in a K-12 setting, especially with elementary-aged students, is highly valued
• Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other support staff
• Proficient in developing and monitoring individualized education and intervention plans
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Commitment to supporting a positive, inclusive school culture

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological and educational assessments for referred students
• Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports and participate in eligibility meetings
• Offer individual and small group counseling to support emotional and social development
• Consult with teachers and staff to implement effective classroom interventions
• Serve on multidisciplinary teams to determine appropriate services and supports
• Partner with families to address students’ academic and behavioral needs
• Support the overall mental health and well-being initiatives within the school environment

This full-time assignment features a work week of 37.5 hours, allowing for meaningful engagement with students and collaboration with colleagues throughout the school week.
