School Psychologist in Williamsburg, VA

Qualifications:

• Valid VA state Psychologist License
• Experience working with K-12 students, preferably with elementary-aged children
• Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Knowledge of effective intervention strategies and IEP processes
• Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for the development of intervention strategies
• Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing emotional, social, and behavioral needs
• Participate in the creation and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Offer guidance and consultation to teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the academic and emotional needs of students
• Assist in crisis intervention and participate in school-wide prevention programs
• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations
