Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated professional passionate about supporting students in a dynamic Pre-K–6 setting! This contract position, located in the scenic region near Windsor, VT, currently offers 28 hours per week (.7 FTE), with potential to increase to full-time for the right candidate. As a School Psychologist, your focus will be on providing high-quality counseling services, facilitating small group and one-on-one sessions, and offering overall support throughout the school community. Your expertise in social-emotional learning and mental health will be vital as you collaborate with educators and families to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist or School Counselor
- Experience working with Pre-K–6th grade students in academic settings
- Strong counseling skills, with ability to lead both small groups and individualized support
- Proven ability to collaborate with staff, students, and families
- Effective communication and report-writing abilities
- Familiarity with current approaches to student wellness and school-wide support systems
Responsibilities:
- Deliver counseling services to individuals and small groups to support emotional and behavioral wellbeing
- Participate actively in child study meetings, providing expertise in educational and psychological assessments as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and families to design and implement intervention strategies
- Assist in creating a positive school culture with a focus on safety, inclusivity, and student wellness
- Ensure thorough documentation and confidentiality of student records
