Step into a dynamic school setting this January as a contract School Psychologist supporting students across elementary and high school levels. Located near Winlock, WA, this role offers the unique flexibility of a hybrid schedule—enjoy 4 days on-site and 1 day working from home each week. The assignment runs from January 5th to June 12th, with the potential for extensions should additional days be required due to snow closures. Your expertise will be vital as you collaborate across three school sites, with the opportunity to work with preschool students if that aligns with your interests.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Current or pending Washington State School Psychologist licensure
- Valid driver’s license and Social Security Card (fingerprinting check required)
- At least 2 years of experience in a school setting preferred; consideration for outstanding new graduates
- Solid skills in administering assessments for initial evaluations and re-evaluations, and managing referrals
- Strong communication and organization skills
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments—expect approximately 60 initial evaluations over the course of a full year (with separate tallies for re-evaluations)
- Managing a caseload of about 1,000 students per psychologist
- Supporting both high school and elementary populations, with flexibility for preschool involvement
- Participating in care team meetings and collaborating with education staff to foster student success
- Upholding compliance standards and contributing insights during referral processes
Hourly pay for this role ranges from $50–$60, negotiable based on your experience.
