This full-time opportunity for the coming academic year (August 26, 2026 – June 11, 2027) exposes you to diverse workplace practices and leadership styles across elementary, middle, and high school settings. Your days will be spent expanding your assessment skills, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and gaining invaluable insights into various special education processes.

Qualifications

  • Hold a valid school psychologist license in Illinois
  • Strong communication skills, with a commitment to clear interactions with families, staff, and team members
  • Deep understanding of special education law and best practices, particularly in early childhood and K-12 settings
  • Experience conducting re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, FBAs, and initial evaluations preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage diverse caseloads, including early childhood through high school students
  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, re-evaluation reviews, and eligibility determinations
  • Facilitate and participate in IEP and MTSS meetings
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource for special education law compliance
  • Travel between local preschool sites for early childhood assignments
