Step into an impactful, full-time opportunity supporting students’ academic and emotional growth for the duration of the 2026-2027 school year. A dedicated contract School Psychologist is sought to work with a caseload of middle and high school students (grades 7-12), providing essential evaluation services and playing a key role in their educational journeys.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing all required re-evaluations and initial evaluations—ensuring students’ needs are fully understood and advocated for within a supportive environment. Unlike many comparable positions, this assignment focuses exclusively on assessments, giving you the chance to apply your skills and expertise in psychological testing, record analysis, and collaborative consultation without counseling components.

What will set you up for success?

  • Current School Psychologist certification (or eligibility) in Connecticut
  • Experience conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations
  • Familiarity with special education eligibility criteria and report preparation
  • Ability to work seamlessly across a 7–12 grade caseload
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent collaboration and communication abilities with multidisciplinary teams
  • Prior experience in school settings preferred

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Conducting full psychoeducational assessments for initial and re-evaluations
  • Completing detailed, timely evaluation reports
  • Participating in eligibility team meetings and presenting findings
  • Liaising with educators, parents, and support staff to interpret evaluation results
  • Upholding compliance with state and federal regulations

This full-time position runs from ASAP through June 2027, providing consistent hours each week (35–37.5 per week, Monday–Friday).
