A school district in Worcester, MA is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist on a contract basis to support the educational and emotional growth of students. This role involves working closely with students, teachers, and families to identify challenges and develop strategies that foster academic success and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students’ cognitive, behavioral, and emotional needs
  • Collaborate with educators and parents to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and interventions
  • Provide counseling and support to students facing social, emotional, or learning difficulties
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop recommendations
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Deliver professional development and training sessions for staff on topics related to student mental health and learning

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Appropriate state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist

  • Knowledge of special education laws and psychological testing procedures
