Step into a rewarding opportunity to support student success as a School Psychologist in a vibrant educational community near Yelm, WA. This role presents an excellent chance to make a difference in the lives of elementary and some high school students while enjoying a flexible hybrid schedule (four days onsite, one day remote) as part of a supportive team.

This contract position begins January 5th and runs through June 12th, with additional days possible due to inclement weather. You'll primarily serve three sites at the elementary level, with some opportunities at the high school and even potential to work with preschoolers if interested. You'll work 37.5 hours weekly, with the potential for 40 hours upon approval.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State School Psychologist certification and current license
  • At least two years of school-based psychology experience preferred; promising new graduates considered
  • Ability to handle testing for initial evaluations, re-evaluations, and referrals
  • Comfortable managing a caseload at a 1:1000 ratio
  • Willingness to travel between three sites as needed
  • Must provide a driver’s license and Social Security Card for required fingerprinting

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, focusing on both initial and re-evaluations (baseline: 60 initial evals annually)
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Deliver insight on special education eligibility and interventions
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation

This position offers a competitive hourly pay of $50-60, commensurate with experience.
