Exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide psychological services in a supportive school environment for the 26/27 academic year. This full-time contract role offers a typical caseload of K-12, with an emphasis on elementary-aged students, and requires a commitment of 37.5 hours per week. Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Virginia Psychologist License
  • Experience working with K-12 populations, especially elementary students, preferred
  • Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
  • Excellent communication abilities with students, staff, and families
  • Understanding of special education processes and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students, including cognitive, emotional, and behavioral assessments
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective interventions
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations
  • Offer individual and group counseling to support students’ social, emotional, and academic development
  • Consult with school staff regarding classroom strategies and behavioral supports
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality practices
  • Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts as needed
