You’ll serve as a Music Therapist, delivering both individualized and group services at a vibrant campus. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- National certification as a Music Therapist is required
- Experience working with children and adolescents in educational settings
- Proficiency in assessment protocols and developing IEP-aligned therapy plans
- In-depth understanding of strategies for supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with adaptive equipment and documentation processes
- Successfully pass district fingerprinting requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct music therapy services, tailoring interventions to support students’ IEP goals
- Create and manage a schedule to meet both campus and program expectations
- Participate in ARD committee meetings, interpreting assessment data and helping set goals for students
- Assess student progress and maintain appropriate records and reports
- Consult with school staff and parents, offering training and support as needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment aligned with the developmental needs of students
- Contribute to ongoing program evaluation, making recommendations for materials and strategies
- Uphold district, state, and federal guidelines related to school-based therapy services
