We're seeking a compassionate, resourceful professional with the following qualifications:
- National Certification in Music Therapy
- Expertise in evaluating students and determining eligibility for music therapy services
- Strong knowledge of strategies and interventions for students with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Ability to develop and implement adaptive equipment and devices
- Familiarity with compliance and documentation related to IEP-governed service delivery
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Willingness to complete district fingerprinting requirements if not already processed
In this role, you will:
- Provide both individual and group music therapy sessions within campus settings
- Develop and adapt schedules to ensure compliance with student IEPs and campus needs
- Consult with educators, parents, and staff to enhance student support
- Participate in ARD meetings to assist with assessment data interpretation, placement, and goal-setting
- Create a supportive, well-managed environment promoting each student’s growth and achievement
- Continually assess and improve the music therapy program, including selection of adaptive materials and equipment
- Maintain detailed documentation and communication as required by district and federal guidelines
- Participate in ongoing professional development
