As an Art Therapist working throughout various locations in the district, you’ll help a small caseload of 15 students thrive emotionally and academically. Your work will contribute to a positive, supportive learning environment for the 2024-2025 school year, with the contract running from August 19th through June 4th.
Experience a flexible schedule, working 20 hours weekly between 8am and 4pm, onsite only. Your expertise will play a key role in fostering resilience and wellness through intentional, creative interventions.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current state licensure through the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists
- Background providing art therapy within a school or youth-oriented setting
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, collaborative approach
- Ability to work independently across multiple school sites
- Flexible, organized, and motivated to facilitate individualized support sessions
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop art therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver one-on-one and small group art therapy sessions
- Collaborate closely with educators, counselors, and student support teams
- Track progress, document sessions, and maintain confidentiality
- Contribute to a safe, supportive, and inclusive school climate
