Located in Richmond, TX, this full-time contract position as a School-based Music Therapist (MT-BC) offers an opportunity to provide vital therapeutic services within a school environment. The role focuses on delivering music therapy aligned with student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support diverse learning and developmental goals.

Key responsibilities include conducting evaluations, providing direct music therapy sessions, tracking student progress, and offering training to school staff. The therapist will play an essential role in enhancing student outcomes by integrating music therapy techniques within educational settings. The assignment spans from ASAP to June 4, 2026, with a standard 37.5-hour workweek.

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Active Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) certification is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy.
  • Demonstrated experience working in school-based settings, preferably with knowledge of IEP processes.
  • Strong skills in evaluation, therapy implementation, and progress documentation.
  • Ability to train and collaborate effectively with educational staff.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to commute to South and West Division locations.
  • Ability to complete required fingerprinting and a drug screening promptly upon hire.
