In this school-based contract role, you’ll deliver transformative music therapy services to students at an elementary campus. From assessing individual needs and supporting IEP goals to leading engaging group sessions and collaborating with teams, your clinical skills and creative energy will help students thrive from August 11, 2026 through May 26, 2027.
What You Bring:
- National certification in music therapy (required)
- Experience providing music therapy in educational settings; K–5 preferred
- Strong understanding of assessment protocols and adaptive equipment for music therapy
- Expertise supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with IEP-driven documentation and compliance standards
- A collaborative approach for working with staff, parents, and ARD Committee
- Flexibility, creativity, and reliability for full-time on-site work
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group music therapy sessions for elementary students
- Assess students, identify eligibility, and recommend services aligned with IEP goals
- Monitor and document progress to ensure compliance and drive success
- Participate in ARD Committee to interpret data and support placement decisions
- Develop and present staff trainings to foster understanding of the music therapy program
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning atmosphere per campus guidelines
- Support program management, including equipment selection and ongoing evaluation
- Coordinate and maintain accurate reporting and records in compliance with policy
- Participate in professional development to elevate your practice
