Bring your expertise as a Music Therapist to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic school-based setting near Rosenberg, TX. This part-time role, starting August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, offers flexible scheduling—choose your workdays—and the possibility for increased hours as programming grows. Your presence on campus will provide much-needed music therapy services to students with a variety of needs across the region.

In this position, your main focus will be providing individual and group music therapy services within campus settings, collaborating closely with special education teams, and supporting student progress as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Qualifications:

  • National certification in Music Therapy required
  • Special expertise working with students with autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Solid knowledge of music therapy assessment protocols, strategies, and procedures
  • Experience aligning therapy services and documentation with IEP requirements
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to design and adapt equipment and interventions for diverse learners
  • Willingness to complete district fingerprinting (if not already on file)
  • Previous experience in educational settings preferred

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver music therapy sessions (individual or group) per student IEPs
  • Develop and adapt therapy schedules to meet evolving campus needs
  • Assess students for eligibility and ongoing progress in music therapy
  • Participate actively in ARD Committees to interpret assessments and set goals
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Maintain required documentation and ensure compliance with educational policies
  • Assist in the evaluation and continuous improvement of the music therapy program
  • Foster a supportive learning environment and administer discipline according to campus policy
