As an itinerant therapist, you will have the unique opportunity to bring your expertise to a diverse group of students in Rosenberg, TX, working part-time (15–20 hours per week) during the 2026–2027 school year. Flexibility is offered for your weekly schedule to fit your needs.
What You’ll Need:
- National certification in music therapy
- Experience with school-aged children—individual and group settings preferred
- Familiarity with creating and implementing IEP goals related to music therapy
- Strong skills in assessing students, including those with autism and developmental disabilities
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal capabilities
- Ability to consult effectively with teachers, families, and administrators
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment for student achievement
- Willingness to complete district fingerprinting requirements (if not previously done)
What You’ll Do:
- Provide tailored music therapy services, both individually and in groups, within school campuses
- Develop, alter, and utilize adaptive equipment to promote student growth
- Participate in assessment and identification of student needs, supporting IEP objectives and ARD committees
- Advise teachers, families, and other professionals to enhance student experiences
- Contribute to staff development through training and program consultation
- Foster a positive, structured learning environment conducive to all developmental levels
- Maintain all documentation to meet district, state, and federal requirements
- Continuously evaluate the music therapy program and implement improvements
