A rewarding contract opportunity is now open for a skilled Recreational Therapist with experience in school-based and teletherapy settings. Play a pivotal role in supporting students across elementary grades, focusing on delivering compensatory services and managing current therapy caseloads throughout the remainder of the year. This position offers flexibility for both in-state and out-of-state licensed candidates, with the possibility to begin your assignment with a pending Professional Educator License (PED).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid national or out-of-state Recreational Therapist license (PED considered if pending)
• Background in providing therapy within school environments, especially at the elementary level
• Ability to deliver services via on-site or teletherapy platforms
• Experience with compensatory minutes and managing established caseloads
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
• Adaptability to meet diverse student needs in a dynamic educational setting

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct recreational therapy to elementary-aged students, ensuring IEP goals and compensatory service requirements are met
• Utilize both in-person and remote (teletherapy) modalities to support diverse learning environments
• Collaborate with special education teams, school staff, and families to provide comprehensive care
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress and treatment outcomes
• Maintain compliance with all relevant state, district, and professional regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized support plans
