Starting August 11, 2026, and continuing through May 26, 2027, this part-time opening begins at 20 hours per week, with potential expansion as additional programs launch. Please note: music equipment is not provided, and working onsite is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct music therapy to students per IEP requirements
  • Assess student needs, track progress, and document outcomes
  • Develop adaptive strategies and equipment to facilitate achievement
  • Consult collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families to support student goals
  • Participate actively in ARD committee meetings, offering assessment input
  • Create an engaging, structured, and supportive environment for all learners
  • Maintain records and reports in compliance with legal and district standards
  • Assist with ongoing program evaluation and identify improvement opportunities
  • Conduct staff development to promote understanding of music therapy approaches
  • Develop strong relationships with students and their families

Requirements:

  • National Certification as a Music Therapist required
  • Familiarity with IEPs and school-based therapy documentation
  • Specialized strategies for students with autism and developmental disabilities
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Compliance with district fingerprinting and credentialing protocols
