With four openings available, you’ll collaborate with other dedicated professionals and be a vital communication link for students who are Deaf or hard of hearing. You’ll support classroom activities, ensuring every student has access to educational content and classroom interactions.

Qualifications:

• Valid 4.0 EIPA score or higher
• Proven experience providing sign language interpretation, preferably in school environments
• Familiarity with educational terminology and classroom settings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced educational context

Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language into sign language and vice versa during classroom instruction, assemblies, and other school functions
• Facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, staff, and peers
• Work closely with educational teams to adapt interpreting approaches as needed
• Maintain accurate records of assignments and student interactions as required by the school district
• Support student participation in both academic and extracurricular activities
