Desired Qualifications:

  • Two years of college (at least 72 academic credits), an Associate’s degree or higher, or passage of the Highly Qualified exam
  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and comprehensive understanding of Deaf culture
  • Previous experience providing sign language interpretation in educational settings is highly valued
  • Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a collaborative outlook

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver interpretation services for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing middle school students across academic and extracurricular activities
  • Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and staff
  • Support students’ integration and achievement within general education environments
  • Maintain confidentiality and accurate records
