Make a lasting impact in the lives of young learners by serving as a Sign Language Interpreter in a highly sought-after, supportive educational environment. This contract position provides the opportunity to work closely 1:1 with a student in early elementary, ensuring access and inclusion in every aspect of the school day. With two onsite positions available, you’ll become a valued resource on a dedicated team committed to fostering communication and positive student outcomes.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • EIPA score of at least 3.5 (required)
  • Experience interpreting in school or educational settings
  • Ability to skillfully provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation
  • Relevant certifications preferred
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Passion for supporting students with unique learning needs
  • Professionalism, reliability, and flexibility

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate, effective sign language interpretation for a student in an early elementary classroom
  • Facilitate communication between student, teachers, peers, and staff
  • Adapt interpretation methods to suit changing instructional settings and student needs
  • Partner with school psychologists, educators, and support staff to create an inclusive classroom experience
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards
  • Attend team meetings and contribute insights to support student progress

This role offers a meaningful way to help students thrive while working within a supportive community. The schedule runs from August 10th, 2026 to May 26th, 2027, with a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week, onsite only.
