Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Arvada, Colorado

Key Qualifications:

• Valid CDE (Colorado Department of Education) Authorization as an Educational Sign Language Interpreter required
• EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher, as required by local regulations
• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience interpreting in both SPED and General Education settings
• Ability to adapt to an itinerant role, traveling between multiple school locations as assigned
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and staff

Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom instruction, activities, and events for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
• Work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure accessibility of curriculum and activities
• Support students in understanding daily lessons, social interactions, and extracurricular experiences
