Key Qualifications:
- Valid CDE (Colorado Department of Education) Authorization as an Educational Sign Language Interpreter required
- EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher, as required by local regulations
- Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience interpreting in both SPED and General Education settings
- Ability to adapt to an itinerant role, traveling between multiple school locations as assigned
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and staff
Responsibilities:
- Interpret classroom instruction, activities, and events for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
- Work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure accessibility of curriculum and activities
- Support students in understanding daily lessons, social interactions, and extracurricular experiences
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards according to professional guidelines
