Bring your passion for American Sign Language to a dynamic educational environment for the 2026-2027 academic year! We are seeking four skilled Sign Language Interpreters who are dedicated to fostering inclusive learning experiences for K-12 students. This full-time, onsite role offers the reward of working closely with students and staff, ensuring all voices are understood and supported throughout the school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Oregon Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Certification/Licensure required
  • Previous experience interpreting for K-12 students preferred
  • Solid understanding of deaf culture and ability to create accessible communications
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities with students, staff, and families
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide interpreting services for students, teachers, and staff in classroom and school settings
  • Facilitate effective communication using ASL between hearing and Deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals
  • Adapt interpreting style to meet grade-level and individual student needs from kindergarten through high school
  • Support students’ full participation in both academic and extracurricular activities
  • Collaborate with educational teams to enhance student learning and advocate for accessible environments

Position Details:

  • Onsite-only, full-time contract for the 2026-2027 school year
  • Assignment runs from 8/24/2026 to 6/11/2027
  • Serve diverse schools in the Rosenburg and Douglas, OR area
