Key Qualifications:

• Current or eligible for the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Educational Interpreter Certificate
• EIPA score of at least 3.5
• Previous experience interpreting in school environments preferred
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and knowledge of interpreting best practices
• Flexibility, strong communication skills, and a commitment to supporting student success

Duties:

• Provide clear, accurate interpretation for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in classroom and school-related activities
• Collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families to ensure student inclusion and understanding
• Adapt signing style to match the unique communication needs of individual students at both elementary and high school levels
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpreting assignments
• Participate in school meetings, trainings, and professional development as required
