Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter within school settings
- Proficiency in interpreting for elementary-aged students
- EIPA score of 3.5 or higher recommended
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, students, and families
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct sign language interpretation for an elementary student in classes and school activities
- Facilitate clear and accurate communication between student, peers, and staff
- Contribute insights on accessible learning practices to support student development
- Maintain confidentiality and professional ethics at all times
- Track student progress and consult with team members as needed
