What we’re looking for:

• Valid license from the Kansas Commission on Deaf/Hard of Hearing
• EIPA score of 4.0 or higher
• Experience in educational settings is preferred
• Expertise in ASL interpretation and a passion for student empowerment
• Ability to adapt communication styles for new ASL learners

What you’ll do:

• Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation for a 4th-grade student during school hours (7:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m., Monday–Friday)
• Serve as a clear communication bridge between student, peers, and staff
• Foster a supportive, engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers and educational teams to ensure the student’s participation and success
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
• Potential to extend service during ESY (Extended School Year)
