Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in a school or educational setting
  • Ability to accurately interpret spoken language into sign and vice versa
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, teachers, and staff
  • Certification or licensure as required by state and federal guidelines
  • Commitment to professionalism and maintaining confidentiality
  • Flexibility and adaptability within a school environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and activities between educators and students
  • Facilitate communication during school events, meetings, and assemblies
  • Support students’ participation in both academic and extracurricular activities
