Make a difference in the lives of high school students by providing essential communication support in an educational setting. We are seeking dedicated Sign Language Interpreters for contract positions near Bixby, OK. There are multiple openings for 1:1 assignments with high school students—including both full-time and part-time roles. These positions are designed to make a meaningful impact and offer the chance to work closely with students to facilitate their success.

Key Qualifications:

  • EIPA Score of 4.0+ or current RID/NAD Certification
  • Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST) Level III or higher
  • Minimum of 2 years’ sign language interpreting experience preferred
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Flexibility and reliability for assigned student schedules

Role Details and Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 interpreting with high school students in classroom settings
  • Full-time opportunities (35–37.5 hours, Monday–Friday) and a part-time role (Monday, Thursday, Friday, 8:40 AM – 4:15 PM)
  • For the part-time role, assist a high school student with severe and profound needs, including accompanying the student to another nearby building for specialized activities
  • Convey spoken information clearly and accurately into American Sign Language (ASL) and voice interpret for student responses
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and staff to ensure seamless learning opportunities
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
