Elevate your career as a Sign Language Interpreter supporting high school students in a dynamic educational setting near Bixby, OK. We are seeking dedicated interpreters for two full-time 1:1 roles and one part-time role assisting a student with severe and profound needs. As a valued member of the educational team, you'll play a crucial role in facilitating communication, empowering students to succeed, and ensuring equitable access to learning.

Current opportunities include:

  • Two full-time openings for 1:1 support with high school students (35 to 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday)
  • Part-time position (Monday, Thursday, Friday) providing 1:1 support to a student requiring additional assistance across buildings—each location is conveniently within a mile, and daily hours are approximately 8:40 AM – 4:15 PM

Qualifications and Experience:

  • EIPA Score of 4.0+ or valid RID/NAD Certification required
  • Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST) Level III or higher
  • Minimum two years of sign language interpreting experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in educational settings and working 1:1 with students is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, professionalism, and adaptability are essential

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate and effective sign language interpreting for assigned students during classroom instruction and school activities
  • Accompany and assist students as needed, including transitions between buildings
  • Foster an inclusive environment, supporting student participation and engagement
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all interpreting situations
