This full-time contract role for the upcoming academic year spans multiple school locations and offers the chance to make a genuine difference in students’ lives.

You’ll be part of a supportive environment focused on inclusivity, working 37.5 hours per week within one designated school location from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027. You’ll collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to foster accessible learning and cultivate an engaging classroom experience for students who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Valid Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience working in school settings
  • Ability to interpret spoken English into ASL and vice versa in classroom and school environments
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Collaborative mindset with a passion for inclusive education

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Providing interpretation services for students, teachers, and other staff
  • Facilitating classroom communication to ensure student access to lessons, discussions, and activities
  • Assisting with IEP meetings and parent communication as needed
  • Maintaining confidentiality and supporting best practices for educational interpreting
  • Adapting to varying student needs and grade levels as assigned
