A full-time Sign Language Interpreter position is available to provide 1:1 support for a high school student near Ipswich, MA. This contract role extends through the 2025-2026 school year with the potential for renewal, offering an opportunity to engage in a supportive educational environment within a highly regarded district.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate and effective sign language interpretation to facilitate communication for a high school student
- Collaborate closely with educators and support staff to ensure the student's needs are met
- Attend relevant meetings and contribute to the development of communication strategies
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Qualifications:
- Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) and experienced in direct interpretation services
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, particularly with high school students
- Ability to work 1:1 with students requiring individualized support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work within a multidisciplinary team
