Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as EIPA, RID, or state equivalent)
• Experience providing sign language interpretation in a school environment is preferred
• Proficient in ASL (American Sign Language)
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Committed to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
• Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and school staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver clear and accurate interpretation between spoken English and American Sign Language in classroom and school settings
• Support students in a variety of academic subjects and extracurricular activities
• Adapt communication methods to suit individual student needs
• Foster a supportive and accessible environment for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Maintain records and collaborate regularly with educational teams for student progress and accommodations
