Qualifications:

• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in school settings highly preferred
• RID and/or EIPA certification preferred, but not required
• Willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• 1:1 support for either a preschool or 5th grade student (two openings)
• Facilitate communication, comprehension, and engagement in classroom material
• Tutor and reinforce ASL vocabulary and concepts
• Attend virtual interview with Director and Teacher of the Deaf to determine best student fit
• Encourage student growth in a nurturing, inclusive setting
