Grades K - 5 Grades 6 - 8 Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Broken Arrow, OK

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Sign Language Interpreter! In this contract role, you’ll work closely with students across grades K-12, focusing on 1:1 support for high schoolers near Broken Arrow, OK. Opportunities include a full-time schedule (35 to 37.5 hours, Monday through Friday) or a part-time assignment working with a high school student with severe and profound needs (Monday, Thursday, and Friday). The part-time position involves accompanying the student to a nearby building—just under a mile from the high school—for additional educational support, generally from 8:40 AM to 4:15 PM.

Qualifications and Experience:

• EIPA Score of 4.0 or higher OR current RID/NAD Certification
• Quality Assurance Screening Test (QAST) Level III or better
• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing sign language interpretation (preferred)
• Ability to work collaboratively with educational staff and respond to the individual needs of students
• Comfort supporting all grade levels, K-12
• Professionalism and adaptability in dynamic school settings
• Reliable transportation—especially for travel between buildings as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster communication access for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing through accurate and meaningful interpreting
• Support students in classroom instruction, extracurricular activities, and transitions between environments
