Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3.5 EIPA score (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment)
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience providing sign language interpretation within school settings, particularly at the high school level
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication styles
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
Responsibilities:
- Deliver realtime sign language interpretation between the student, peers, and staff in various classroom and campus contexts
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to facilitate effective communication and learning
- Assist in adapting educational materials to suit student’s needs
- Accurately interpret and relay spoken and signed information
- Support student participation in classroom activities, discussions, and school events
- Uphold ethical standards and comply with all professional guidelines
