Key Qualifications:

• Valid Maryland Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) License
• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience working in educational environments preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 sign language interpretation for students, facilitating communication in academic, extracurricular, and school community settings
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and special education teams to ensure students’ access to the curriculum
• Adapt interpreting techniques to accommodate varying learning and communication styles
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in educational interpreting
• Support students’ engagement, advocacy, and skill development
