Seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide exceptional communication support in educational settings. This travel position is based in Cambridge, MD, and involves working directly with students and staff to facilitate effective communication and inclusion within the school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken and signed communication between students, teachers, and staff.
- Ensure accurate and clear interpretation during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events.
- Collaborate with educators to support students' learning and communication needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Adapt interpreting techniques to various educational settings and situations.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong interpreting skills.
- Experience working in school environments preferred.
- Ability to travel as part of the role, supporting multiple locations if needed.
