Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Cape Coral, FL

Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Sign Language Interpreter supporting students who are deaf or hard of hearing at an elementary school. In this role, you’ll facilitate clear, accessible communication between students and staff, ensuring every child can fully engage in classroom activities. You’ll be working on-site at a single elementary school, supporting both 1:1 situations and small groups, and making a meaningful difference in students’ daily educational experiences.

What You’ll Need:

• Experience providing sign language interpretation for school-age children, ideally in an educational setting
• 3.0 or higher EIPA score
• Familiarity with supporting DHH (Deaf/Hard of Hearing) students in both group and one-on-one scenarios
• State-mandated fingerprint clearance (previous prints through the AHCA Clearinghouse may be valid)
• Commitment to on-site presence; remote/virtual options are not available
• Dedication to full-time hours, up to 37.5 per week throughout the school year
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to adapt to diverse classroom environments
