Sign Language Interpreter in Cape Coral, FL

An on-site position is currently available for experienced Sign Language Interpreters who are committed to fostering accessible, inclusive learning environments at the elementary, middle, or high school levels. This contract opportunity is ideal for interpreters seeking meaningful engagement and professional growth in an educational setting.

Key Requirements:

• Valid 3.0 or higher EIPA score
• Experience supporting DHH students in educational environments
• Comfortable working 1:1 and in group settings
• Ability to serve students across multiple age groups
• Willingness to complete state-required fingerprinting; prior fingerprint clearance in Florida through the AHCA Clearinghouse may be valid
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work onsite at one school location (no remote/virtual option)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation for DHH students during instructional and extracurricular activities
• Support individual learners and, where needed, small groups, facilitating meaningful participation
• Adapt communication approaches to meet varied student needs and classroom dynamics
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure students’ access to the curriculum
• Adhere to professional standards of confidentiality, respect, and integrity
