Qualifications:

  • Hold certification as an Educational Interpreter or equivalent
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Experience in educational interpreting with school-aged children
  • Knowledge of IDEA, ADA, and FERPA regulations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Flexibility to adapt to different educational settings

Responsibilities:

  • Provide sign language interpretation for students, teachers, and staff
  • Support students’ learning and inclusion in both classroom and school activities
  • Collaborate with educators and specialists to facilitate access and understanding
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
  • Uphold confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
