Make a real difference in the lives of students by providing essential sign language interpretation services throughout the 2026-2027 school year. We are seeking four skilled sign language interpreters for full-time, onsite contract assignments supporting K-12 students in a dynamic educational environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to put your skills to meaningful use, contribute to inclusive education, and collaborate with a dedicated team of educators and specialists. Assignments will be based in the Rosenburg and Douglas, OR areas.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Oregon state Sign Language Interpreter certification or licensure is required
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and other relevant methods of communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children (K–12) is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to professionalism and confidentiality within the school setting
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Provide interpretation and transliteration services between students, staff, and families
  • Support student understanding and participation in classroom activities, assemblies, and school functions
  • Adapt signing methods to individual student needs and educational goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation as required by the school or district
  • Participate in planning sessions, IEP meetings, and feedback as needed
