Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in school or youth-focused environments
- Ability to effectively facilitate communication between students, educators, and staff
- Certification through recognized interpreting credentials strongly encouraged
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students of varying ages
- Adaptability to changing classroom needs and schedules
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken language and classroom discussions into ASL for students who are deaf/hard of hearing
