Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Valid Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 4.0 or higher (a lower score may be considered for candidates with substantial relevant experience)
- Prior experience working with high-school-aged students preferred
- Strong understanding of Deaf culture and sensitivity to student needs in academic settings
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively within a school environment
Key Duties:
- Provide direct interpreting services during classroom instruction, school activities, and events
- Facilitate clear and accurate communication between the student, teachers, and peers
