Key Qualifications:

  • Valid VA Quality Assurance Screening (VQAS) Level III required
  • EIPA Score of 3.5 strongly preferred (candidates with a score above 3.0 considered for interview) OR QAS Score of 3 or better
  • Experience providing interpreting services in a school environment preferred
  • Flexibility to work at different school locations as needed
  • Comfort working 1:1 with elementary students

Responsibilities:

  • Provide sign language interpretation for assigned student(s), primarily at the elementary level
  • Utilize Visaphonics (preferred, but not required)
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to promote inclusive communication
  • Travel between school sites within the district as needed if assigned student is absent
  • Ensure accurate and confidential communication at all times
