What You Need to Bring:
- Virginia Quality Assurance Screening (VQAS) Level III required
- EIPA Score of 3.5 strongly preferred (candidates with 3.0+ considered for interview), or QAS Score of 3 or higher
- Previous experience as a Sign Language Interpreter in school settings
- Proficiency with Visaphonics preferred but not mandatory
- Passion for working 1:1 with elementary-age students and flexibility to cover in other schools as needed
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver high-quality interpreting services for assigned elementary students, predominantly in one-on-one settings
- Adapt quickly—travel as needed among schools within the district to provide coverage
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff for student success
