Seeking a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support educational settings in Chula Vista, CA. This role involves providing communication access for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students in school environments, ensuring effective interaction between students, staff, and families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa during classroom instruction and school-related activities
• Facilitate communication in various educational settings including classrooms, meetings, and extracurricular events
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and administrators to support student learning and inclusion
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language with certification preferred
• Experience working in educational environments as an interpreter is strongly desired
