Qualifications:

  • Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and strong interpreting skills
  • Certification such as EIPA, RID, or state equivalent is preferred
  • Previous experience interpreting in educational settings is highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Provide real-time interpretation services for students and staff in educational environments
  • Help facilitate clear communication between Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing students and their peers and instructors

  • Maintain confidentiality and cultural sensitivity at all times
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and special services teams
