Qualifications/Experience:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Experience in educational settings preferred
- Ability to provide clear interpretation for students, staff, and meetings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Certification as a sign language interpreter (state or national, as applicable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret spoken communication into ASL for students and staff throughout the school day
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to support student learning and engagement
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all relevant educational guidelines
