Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (such as EIPA or RID, or state equivalent)
• Previous experience interpreting in school settings preferred

• Ability to manage confidential information and sensitive situations with professionalism

Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken language into ASL (and vice versa) during classroom instruction, school events, and meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administrative staff to clarify information and ensure classroom success for students who are Deaf or hard of hearing
• Maintain accurate records of interpretive services provided, adhering to school protocols
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive educational experience through cultural sensitivity and advocacy
• Participate in professional development and ongoing training as required
